The Scary Face of Dubai!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
today when I woke up first I checked my mobile to see if I got a message or something! but then I saw that I don't even have network!!! then I got outta bed to turn on my laptop as it was my old habit, it started up because it's a Centrino ;) buy then I saw it's on battery, I checked the cable, and there wasn't any problem with that! I tried lights but no hope!!! THERE WAS NO ELECTRICITY!!!!!!!!!!!! than means no cooler! and that means no fridge!!!! and there was no telephone! as a result no internet connection either!!!! that means absolutely no connection to the rest of the world! then I went to bathroom!! Thanks god there was a little water!!!! buy not much! because there was no electricity to pump the water up!!!!!! WHAT IS IT? JUDGEMENT DAY????????? I got out I pushed the elevator's button! but no elevator!!!! I tried the stairs and I saw a lady with a bag in her hand climbing the stairs down! thank god our building had a little generator or something there was few lights on in each floor! but not enough for the elevator! I talked to one of my friends they were on 7th floor and their building had absolutely no kind of generator! there was no lights on in their building! what the hell to the architects think of! I remember in Iran we experienced not having electricity in Iran-Iraq war era but we never gone out elevator, all the building had generators for emergency situations! I was thinking thank god I always thing of emergency situations and I have enough cash on my hand so that even if the ATM machines don't work and I be accessless to my money in banks I can still afford a ticked to get outta this place and go back home till everything goes back to normal!!!! but guess what! then I heard from the radio that the flights are even being delayed!!!!!! thank got everything is coming back to normal within few hours!!! what if they didn't for more time! what if this would happen in the middle of summer (thank god today the weather was fine) people could die! the weather can go as hot as 56-57!!!! what would we do if this would happen then????
Gosh tank god it's over! and I hope it doesn't happen again!!!!
P.S: I'm in starbucks and the connection is not back yet! and I'm writing these offline to send it as soon as the connection become available again!
P.S: guess what!!!!! I just tried to buy something with my card and the card is failing!!!!! thank god I still keep some legacy good old money in my pocket! :-) I guess I must even keep some gold in case the money didn't worked in some cases ;)
